SAINT-LAZARE (Québec), le 26 mai 2009
La Ville de Saint-Lazare souhaite faire part à ses résidants d’une
lettre publiée dans le journal Your local journal du 21 mai 2009.
Dear Editor,
I recently posted an ad in your paper about my lost dog, Puppy Pal.
Thankfully she was found after missing for 17 days.
I want to express my sincere thanks to all the people that contributed their time and effort to find her including the merchants that
let us put signs in their windows, the Town of St.Lazare for sending bulletins to their network, the concerned strangers on the look out, the many professionals
who offered advice, and the many people who saw her running scared through their neighbourhoods and who took the time to call us.
Special thanks go to Laurie, Kim, Janine, Celia and Julian, our new BFFs, who spent hours driving up and down Bedard and St. Louis and
the surrounding areas searching and searching. I still cannot believe that they put so much time into helping us find our family pet. On Mothers Day
at 10 minutes to midnight Celia saw Puppy Pal in the IGA parking lot, in
St.Lazare, and frantically called my husband to tell him that the dog was there but running away from her. Fortunately, Puppy Pal ran down St. Angelique towards my husband who was also out looking and was able to catch her. This was a happy ending and
a great Mothers Day gift. We took her to the Hudson Vet where the caring staff patiently and gently looked her over. Puppy Pal is now home. She lost 7 pounds and has a huge bite mark on her backside and abrasions on her belly.
She is on antibiotics and recovering, eating, sleeping a lot and is glad to be safe at
home. She is not talking about her adventure! This experience made me realize
that there are a lot of compassionate animal lovers out there and
we are truly grateful to them all. Thank you.
