Saint-Lazare (Québec), September 28, 2009
On September 24, 2009, Ville de Saint-Lazare has underlined in a great
way the 25th anniversary of its Fire Department. Together with
Meili Faille, Federal MP of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Mr. Paul Carzoli, mayor, the
Town Counsellors and the municipal employees, guests celebrated this
event in a festive mood!
Exemplary Service Medal
Two firefighters, namely Assistant Director, Mr. Régent Marineau and the
Capitaine Mr. Daniel Laplante were presented with an Exemplary Service
Medal for their 20 years of service by Federal MP Meili Faille.
Receiving such a distinction demonstrates exemplary conduct as well as
long and exceptional service from those who are in a high risk profession.
Commemorative plaque – 25 years of service
Moreover, during this event, the Mayor and Counsellors honoured
Mr. Louis-Georges Rozon for his 25th year in service as a part-time
firefighter. In 2005, Mr. Rozon also received the Exemplary Service Medal.
Logo Unveiling
Although already in use for a little while, the new Fire Department logo
was also unveiled. It now appears officially on emergency vehicles.
Training Certificates
Mr. Régent Marineau, Assistant Director and Training Coordinator handed
certificates to firefighters who have successfully completed fire
prevention courses.
