Alcool checkpoints on June 18 Français
Two alcohol checkpoints will be organized on June 18th starting at 10 p.m., one at the Exit 35 of Highway 40, at the intersection of Boul. St-Charles in Vaudreuil-Dorion and the other one in the middle of the Mgr. Langlois Bridge with the collaboration of the MRC of Beauharnois-Salaberry.

The SQ wants us to pass on this information in an attempt to increase awareness to the dangers of drinking and driving in this early summer season. Between 2004 and 2008, alcohol related accidents have caused on average: 200 deaths, 530 to be seriously injured and 2 500 to be lightly wounded every year. We therefore ask motorists to be responsible when using the road network. Police officers of the MRC of Vaudreuil-Soulanges will be on the lookout for those driving under the influence and others who do not respect the highway safety code.
