In Emergency
Is your family ready?

Saint-Lazare (Québec), May 4, 2009

Ville de Saint-Lazare together with the ministère de la Sécurité publique is underlining the Civil Protection Week from May 3 to 9, 2009.

The reason for highlighting this event is to raise public awareness about the importance of being properly prepared to face a variety of emergency situations, such as flooding, extended power outages in winter, windstorms or a house fire. Emphasis is placed on the need for each family to prepare its own safety plan and emergency kit to ensure it can be self-sufficient for the first 72 hours in an emergency situation, until help arrives.

To learn more, consult www.securitecivile.gouv.qc.ca. Put yourself to the test, enter the draw and download the guide: Your emergency Preparedness Guide. In a few weeks, this guide will also be available at the Town Hall (1960 Chemin Sainte-Angélique).
