Record number of visitors and local artisans featured

2nd edition of the Saint-Lazare Christmas Market

SAINT-LAZARE (Quebec), Tuesday, December 19, 2017 – In a festive atmosphere, artisans and local producers welcomed visitors in the main room of the Community Centre for the 2nd edition of the Christmas Market on Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10, 2017.

In 2016, although the event had attracted some 1,800 visitors, many had come simply to satisfy their curiosity and discover what the event was all about. This year, however, the 2,177 in attendance were mainly young families and savvy shoppers on the hunt for unique finds.

Among the 988 visitors who attended on Sunday, 60 or so Members of the Quebec-France Association had made their way from Laval aboard a coach bus specifically to come enjoy Saint-Lazare’s Christmas Market, within the framework of their day of activities organized in the region. They purchased some unique gifts to offer up during the Christmas season.

Visitors were thrilled with the variety of items available as well as the prices, which accommodated every budget. Most left with bags filled to the brim, and everyone left with smiles on their faces.
