Make your way up to the attic to join an amazing quartet that promises to transform art… into music!
Sébastien lives with his grandfather, who is an avid fan of Quebec painter Guido Molinari. His grandfather’s collection is so big, in fact, that the paintings go all the way up into the attic! Fearing that his grandfather might lose the ability to see all the beautiful colours of his favourite artist’s creations as he gets older, Sébastien decides to translate these beautiful works of art into music so his grandfather can HEAR Molinari. But, with the task being too big for Sébastien to complete on his own, he invites three mysterious musicians to join him in the attic to help transform Molinari’s masterpieces.
Drawing a parallel between the strokes on the canvas and the lines of a musical score, this concert unveils the keys to better understanding and appreciating the principal works included in a string quartet’s contemporary repertoire while also raising the public’s awareness of art and one of the greatest Canadian artists.
