SAINT-LAZARE, Québec, November 21, 2011

On Tuesday, November 15, 2011, Mayor Pierre Kary inaugurated, along with District 3 Councillor Brigitte Asselin, a new stop sign on Chemin Sainte-Angélique.

Located on Chemin Sainte Angélique at its intersection with Rue du Grand-Pré, this new stop sign will help regulate the flow of traffic which will significantly increase following the construction of a new school in that area. This new stop sign is therefore of prime importance for safety reasons and it will also improve residents’ access to the Grand-Pré area.

Last September, the Québec Ministry of Transportation approved the transfer to the Town of Saint-Lazare of the portion of Chemin Sainte-Angélique between Bédard Avenue and Route de la Cité-des-Jeunes. This transfer will enable us to rehabilitate Chemin Sainte-Angélique to better meet the needs of our residents without having to follow provincial standards.
