Thanks to residents
Postal kiosks reduce their environmental footprint
Français
Saint-Lazare (Québec) – April 22, 2008

Ville de Saint-Lazare would like to thank those residents who participate and contribute on a daily basis to maintaining postal kiosks clean by taking and recycling their mail and flyers home.

Let’s recall that since the 360-litre bins have replaced the smaller bins, the Town has gradually removed the garbage cans from the postal kiosk to encourage citizens to recycle their correspondence rather than throwing it out.

Let’s mention however that certain improvements are still necessary, particularly with some dog owners who do not pick-up after their dogs or who, strangely enough, take time to pick-up their dogs’ feces but throw the bags wherever. We would greatly appreciate if you didn’t give every dog owner a bad reputation by taking the time to appropriately dispose of your dogs’ excrements at home. No one wants to live in a dump.
