We wish to remind you that in accordance with the regulation concerning waste water disposal systems for isolated dwellings, Q-2, r.8 (art. 13) and municipal by-law no 542, your septic tank must be emptied at least once every two (2) years.

Also, according to article 5 of the same by-law, once your tank has been emptied, you are obliged to submit a copy of your septic tank cleaning invoice to the Urban planning and environment services before December 31, 2011.

Furthermore, it is possible to have your tank inspected at the cost of $55 by completing the form available on the town’s website (ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca/septic) and returning it with your cheque made out to “Ville de Saint-Lazare” before October 31, 2011, at 1967 chemin Sainte-Angélique, Saint-Lazare (Québec) J7T 0E2. This inspection will determine the actual level of sediment and scum in the tank, and accordingly, determine whether or not it is necessary to have it emptied.
