Every year, the Town usually starts cleaning its 192 km long road network at the end of March. The process takes approximately 3 weeks. The cleaning starts in the Vallée-Chaline sector and continues towards the village core, and the west end of Town.
The work primarily consists of sweeping the sand and crushed stones by the roadside. Neither the sand nor the stones will be collected. After the complete snowmelt, the Town contractor will inspect and repair damages and seed the Town's right-of-way where deemed necessary.
Note that certain roads on our territory belong to Transport Quebec including Route de la Cité-des-Jeunes. This road is not cleared by the city. To contact Transport Québec's Centre de services de Vaudreuil located at 3600 boul. of Cité-des-Jeunes in Vaudreuil call 450-455-6109.
Note concerning the surplus of crushed stones
Residents who are really annoyed by the crushed stones left in the Town's right-of-way may get rid of it by bringing it back to the Town's municipal garage Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Crushed stones only will be accepted.

Should you notice damage to your property during the snowmelt period, please advise the Publics works department immediately at the municipal garage at 450-424-8000 ext. 250 so the Town can confirm the damage on the scene. We will inform you of the procedure to follow so that your claim can be handled appropriately.
