SAINT-LAZARE (Québec), July 4, 2011
The Town of Saint-Lazare is asking all residents to better manage their use of potable water during the summer months. Since the weekend of June 18-19, 2011, water consumption has increased dramatically in our town. The Town of Saint-Lazare wants to avoid the implementation of a watering ban and is therefore asking its residents to curb their use of potable water. The Town of Saint-Lazare wishes to remind its residents of the importance of responsible outdoor use of the water distributed by the municipal aqueduct network (by-law number 708). The Town of Saint-Lazare has noticed that many residents do not respect this by-law. Offenders are liable to a fine of up to $2,000.00.
The Town’s water regulations are available on its website at www.ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca/water , as well as in the last issue of Liaisons, at the Town Hall and at the Urban Planning and Environment Department.
