Tall grasses, weeds and bushes Français
SAINT-LAZARE (Québec) – July 11, 2007

The Town wants to remind its citizens that according the law RMH 450 art.13, it is forbidden to let grass, weed or bushes grow on a lot or a vacant lot. Furthermore, towns must enforce the Loi sur les abus préjudiciables à l’agriculture (abuses harmful to agriculture). Mowing your property is important to destroy weeds before they mature, thus preventing their propagation.

Please note, an inspection officer who notices the presence of weeds can demand a lot be mowed within eight (8) days of receipt of a violation notice. Failing to comply, The Town will, without further notice, get the work done at the owner’s expense.

For more information, contact Marco d’Antonio at the Service d’urbanisme et zonage at 450 424-8000, ext. 245.
