Ville de Saint-Lazare wishes to invite its residents at the free conference Discover the world of wine Chapter IV… Ciders and dessert wines on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. (in French only) at the community centre (1301 Rue du Bois).

Ciders and dessert wines have been part of everyday meals and family feasts for a very long time. To continue to develop our taste, we will rediscover a drink produced from fermenting apples using a technique brought to America by British settlers. Beginning with sweet and strong ciders, we will then move on to the ice ciders that Quebec is justly proud of before taking a look at original and often little known dessert wines.

This wine-tasting with comment will be hosted by wine consultant and passionate epicurean Sylvain Vaillancourt.
