Ville de Saint-Lazare: A Proactive and Responsive Employer

We sometimes tend to forget it, but Ville de Saint-Lazare is a major employer in our community. With over 150 regular employees for most of the year, this figure rises rapidly to over 200 in the summer months. Ville de Saint-Lazare plays an active role in the training of new generations by offering a variety of internships to future graduates, while being also synonymous with long-lasting careers for those who have made their nests here. In 2023, we celebrated nine employees who have been with the City for more than 15 years, six of whom blew out 20 candles with us, and one Infrastructure Department operator who completed his 25th year... A remarkable achievement!

To ensure the best possible succession, we have participated in two job fairs in 2023. It's important for us to establish this first contact, so fundamental in the important stage of life that is entering the job market. These fairs allowed us not only to make ourselves known, but also to listen to the realities of new generations.

Our Human Resources service knows how to listen attentively to the various needs of the community. That's why, in order to be able to offer more services to Saint-Lazare citizens, new atypical shifts have been initiated in collaboration with the Public Works department, resulting in seven evening and weekend positions.
