A vibrant tribute to creativity: A public piano transformed into a work of art by Catherine Leroyer

Last March, Ville de Saint-Lazare launched a call for artists to transform a public piano into a colorful and vibrant work of art.

After analyzing the numerous proposals submitted, the organizing committee, in collaboration with the Comité consultatif culturel, chose the winning sketch. It was the work of Catherine Leroyer, a talented Saint-Lazare resident, who won the jury's heart.

Harmonious and inviting

The bright colors, carefully chosen to harmonize with our surrounding nature, and the inviting phrase “À vous de jouer” inscribed on the piano, perfectly embody the creative and unifying spirit of our community. This project encourages each and every one of our citizens to give free rein to their imagination, while making art accessible to all.

At the end of June, this magnificently decorated piano took its place at the Espace des Muses. It quickly charmed the Lazarois public and kept the crowds entertained throughout the summer season.

This winter, the piano has taken refuge in the Community Center, where it continues its mission of bringing color to our daily lives.
