A Day Dedicated to the Environment!

On a beautiful, sunny Friday, May 17, over 550 people came to Parc Saint-Robert for the Journée de l’environnement.
Residents were able to get free tree seedlings, compost (the fruit of their food waste collection efforts), bulk mulch (the fruit of branch collection), strawberry and ground-cover plants, as well as milkweed seeds.
Several booths also offered information and advice on trees, pollinators and water.
And to make it all even better, the children were able to plant sunflower seeds and leave with their own seedlings and temporary tattoos.
