Closure of Chemin Saint-Louis and update of Chemin Sainte-Angélique and Route de la Cité-des-Jeunes

Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25, 2022
As part of the sanitary sewer construction project and the extension of the drinking water network:

  • Route de la Cité-des-Jeunes is open since Tuesday, November 22, 2022;
  • Chemin Saint-Louis will be closed (local traffic only), between rue Chevrier and rue Duhamel, as of Thursday, November 24, 2022, 6 a.m.;
  • Chemin Saint-Louis will remain closed (local traffic only), between rue Duhamel and the railroad tracks;
  • Chemin Sainte-Angélique will be open (alternating traffic), as of Thursday, November 24, 2022, 6 a.m.;
  • Chemin Sainte-Angélique will be fully open on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the opening of the construction site in the morning.

Flagmen will be present to enforce compliance with road signs.
The detour for chemin Saint-Louis is highlighted in green on the map.

Chemin Saint-Louis - Week of November 28 to December 2, 2022:
Chemin Saint-Louis will remain closed (local traffic only), between rue Chevrier and route de la Cité-des-Jeunes.

Reopenings to come:
The following sections will remain closed until communication of their reopening.

  • Chemin Saint-Louis between route de la Cité-des-Jeunes and the railroad tracks will open by Monday, November 28, 2022;
  • Chemin Saint-Louis between rue Duhamel and route de la Cité-des-Jeunes will open by early December 2022;
  • Chemin Saint-Louis between rue Frontenac and rue Duhamel will open before the end of 2022.

About the project

This construction project, which will take place in phases until December 2023, will allow nearly 360 homeowners to benefit from a sustainable municipal infrastructure. The extension of the drinking water network will allow to increase fire protection, loop the network, in addition to providing approximately 30 additional properties with drinking water.
