50th anniversary of World Environment Day
Ville de Saint-Lazare invites you to celebrate our environment by taking action to protect it. Every citizen can help make a difference by taking simple steps to preserve our various ecosystems.
How can you get involved?
- Create a garden for pollinators: plant milkweed to help monarch butterfly populations, and leave room for dandelions to feed bees!
- Reduce your water consumption: Drinking water is not an unlimited resource, so every drop counts.
- Limit the amount of plastic in your daily life: disposable cutlery, plastic bottles, cling film, meat trays, etc.
What does your city do?
- The City is increasing the number of nature-inspired solutions, such as green infrastructure, on its territory. Adopting ecological vegetation management practices has enabled the City to considerably reduce its GHG emissions by reducing and renaturalizing public spaces and rights-of-way.
- Monarch-Friendly City certification: Ville de Saint-Lazare is committed to implementing concrete actions to combat the decline of this endangered species.
- This year, the City took up the Défi Pissenlits to give pollinating insects their first source of food after a long winter.
Awareness campaign on drinking water consumption from the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges
The protection of drinking water is a fundamental regional issue. The MRC and the 23 municipalities of Vaudreuil-Soulanges are joining forces in an awareness campaign to inform citizens about the issues related to our consumption.
Have a look at this very informative campaign.
Every gesture counts!
