- Highway 40 – Pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes
Highway 40 – Pont de l’Île-aux-Tourtes

Since Sunday, January 29, 2023, a dedicated lane is available on Highway 40 in each direction, on the approaches to the pont de l'Île-aux-Tourtes. This arrangement is temporary while reinforcement work is being done on the bridge.
This lane, which will reduce the time required to reach the bridge for buses and emergency services, will be available:
- Towards Montreal, between the interchange with Highway 30 and the bridge
- Towards Vaudreuil-Dorion, between boulevard Morgan and boulevard des Anciens-Combattants
Remember that two lanes per direction are currently available at all times for road users on the pont de l'Île-aux-Tourtes.
Note that trucks will now be able to use either of the two lanes on the pont de l'Île-aux-Tourtes towards Vaudreuil-Dorion. In the direction of Montreal, trucks must always use the left lane on the bridge.
In order to properly plan your trips, please consult the Québec 511 for current and upcoming roadblocks. For the safety of road users and workers, respecting the signs in place is essential.
